DON HUSKEY
Introducing the man, the myth and the legend, Don Huskey.
Born in Charleston, Huskey spent his teens in the suburbs of Atlanta learning, among other things, how to distill whiskey. Starting young, he discovered the family secret of his grandfather’s moonshine business which sent him down the lifelong study of the prohibition era with all its gangster, bootlegger and flapper glory.
Just before graduating college, he took a detour to join Miller Brewing Company. Twenty-six years later, he retired from the big brew house and made his way back to the Lowcountry circa 2007.
By 2017, boredom and brimming curiosity brought Huskey to the Holy City’s competitive tour industry. He secured his City of Charleston Tour Guide Certification, hit the cobblestones and hasn’t looked back since.
Countless tours, creative content, industry cloute and research rabbit holes later, Huskey was, once again, inspired by his passion for the prohibition period and bubbling cocktail culture in downtown Charleston. Blend the two together and you get Cocktail City Tours, Charleston’s premier tour experience for the sophisticated sipper.
For each guest, Huskey is committed to delivering a signature experience that is delightfully distinct with spellbinding stories and plenty of posh sips from Charleston’s finest mixologists along the way.
His hope is simple - that once the tour is over, you wish it would continue.

When he is not wandering the streets talking about all things Charleston, Huskey can be found with his pups watching football or documentaries about organized crime.
